Caught Protoje live twice now and both shows raised the bar. Stage presence is magnetic, the band reads each other instinctively, and the crowd interaction never feels forced. Studio recordings are good — live is essential.

Not connecting for me

Have tried multiple Protoje releases on recommendations and the writing doesn't land. The production choices feel safe and the lyrics rarely surprise. Glad others enjoy it but it isn't for me.

Talented but unfocused

There's clear talent in Protoje's work but the direction shifts album to album in a way that feels reactive rather than chosen. A more committed vision would make a huge difference.

Catalog depth is unreal

Been digging through Protoje's discography for the last month. Every era has at least three essential tracks. The growth from the early material to the recent work is something special — few artists evolve this gracefully.
